Sex worker Lima, 18, waits for customer at brothel, June 28, 2007 in Tangail, Bangladesh. Born into a poor family, she was lured to a false job offer at a garment factory but instead was sold to brothel when she was 13 years old.
The majority of the 20,000 to 30,000 female sex workers in Bangladesh are victims of trafficking.
Once they enter the brothel, usually before the age of 12, they are generally in for life because of social stigma and poverty.
